SFF-8643 8i是一款72针高密度MINI SAS毗连器，接纳通常用于内部毗连的塑料体接口，主要用于实现HD SAS内部互连解决计划。典范应用是SAS HBA与SAS驱动器子系统之间的内部SAS链路。SFF-8643切合SAS3.0规范，支持12Gbps数据传输协议。
